For smallholders, DFC Steel Construction can cater to clients needs for average-sized agricultural buildings, typically 60 feet long by 30 feet wide, and 12 feet to the eaves. These buildings are roofed and clad on three sides, with one side open, ideal for small-scale operations.
These structures offer a compact yet functional space for diverse farming activities. and optimises natural ventilation and accessibility, ensuring an ideal environment for smallholder endeavours such as storage, shelter, or livestock management.
We can also provide other small buildings for additional fodder and machinery storage on the complex.
Larger barns can typically measure 50 feet by 60 feet wide and 100 to 120 feet long, standing at 18 to 25 feet to the eaves. These structures are perfect for large-scale storage, including straw, and can feature bays filled with pre-stressed concrete panels around the perimeter of the building, three to four meters high, for storing of cereals; wheat barley, oats, rapeseed, maize, and potatoes etc.

We also specialise in equine housing, including open-plan stabling and commonly sized indoor arenas. Additionally, we can build roof coverings over existing outdoor arenas to meet client requirements. The build can also support hay storage, fodder storage and storage of farm vehicles.
